1. About RecallRadar

RecallRadar is a Chrome browser extension that queries publicly available government recall databases (FDA, USDA FSIS, CPSC, NHTSA) and displays potentially matching recall records for products you view while shopping online. RecallRadar is operated by RecallRadar (recallradarapp@gmail.com, recallradarapp.com).

2. Informational Purpose Only — No Safety Guarantee

RecallRadar provides recall information for informational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional safety advice, manufacturer communications, or official government recall notices.

• Recall databases may not be complete, current, or error-free.
• A result of "no recall found" does not mean a product is safe or has never been recalled.
• Match results are based on automated text scoring and may produce false positives or miss relevant records.
• Always verify recall information directly with the manufacturer or at CPSC.gov before making any safety decision.

RecallRadar does not provide safety certifications, safety advice, or product recommendations.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use RecallRadar. By using the extension you represent that you meet this requirement. RecallRadar is intended for personal, non-commercial use unless otherwise agreed in writing.

4. Free Plan and Pro Subscription

RecallRadar offers a free tier and a paid Pro subscription. The features available under each plan are described at recallradarapp.com/#pricing and are subject to change with reasonable notice.

• Free plan: No charge. Features may be modified or expanded over time.
• Pro plan: Billed monthly or annually as stated at the time of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
• Cancellation: You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time unless required by applicable law.
• Refunds: If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 14 days at recallradarapp@gmail.com and we will review your request.

All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store payment card details. Stripe's terms apply to payment processing: stripe.com/legal.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use RecallRadar for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the extension for the purpose of creating a competing product
• Automate, scrape, or otherwise abuse government recall APIs through the extension in ways that violate those agencies' terms of use
• Misrepresent recall information provided by the extension to deceive consumers or third parties

6. Intellectual Property

The RecallRadar name, logo, and extension code are the property of RecallRadar. Recall data retrieved from FDA, USDA, CPSC, and NHTSA is in the public domain as published by those agencies. Nothing in these terms grants you any license to the RecallRadar brand or code beyond the right to use the extension as intended.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

RecallRadar is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the extension will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that recall data will be complete or up to date.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, RecallRadar and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to damages arising from reliance on recall results displayed by the extension, loss of data, or interruption of service. Our total liability for any claim arising out of these terms or use of the extension shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim, or $10, whichever is greater.

9. Third-Party Services and Links

RecallRadar queries third-party government APIs and may display links to official recall pages. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or availability of those external sites. Links to third-party sites do not constitute an endorsement.

10. Modifications to the Service or Terms

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of RecallRadar at any time with reasonable notice where practicable. We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The updated effective date will be shown at the top of this page. Continued use of RecallRadar after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in a court of competent jurisdiction. If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force.
